Are you longing for spring to arrive?
So are we!
And despite the dreary weather here in Dorset, we’re loving the glimpses of a new season heading our way.
Today we were so excited to gather our very first wild garlic - homegrown in the farmhouse garden and scattered across a warming bowl of spiced parsnip soup, topped with a generous spoonful of @theestatedairy yoghurt.
The wild garlic was planted the several years ago, along a sheltered bank which benefits from the early morning sunlight.
What’s your favourite wild garlic recipe? 🌱🌱🌱

Despite the almost constant rainfall in Dorset, the garden is gently awakening and the birds are full of song.
Through grey clouds the dappled light is stretching further into the evening and the hens are eager to linger a little longer before returning to their perch for the night.
Here in the UK, it’s only seven weeks before the clocks change.
If country walks and hearty breakfasts are your ideal treat. Or if you’re looking for a place to escape the everyday this spring, we’d love to welcome you to a Georgian farmhouse beside the River Allen chalk stream.

There’s a freshly baked loaf, birdsong gently welcoming the morning and it’s Friday.
Here’s to your perfect weekend. Hope it’s a great one.

It’s been non stop all day and we wanted to thank each and everyone for your support and kindness.
We love being able to welcome guests to stay, cook (or both) here at the farmhouse as well as across the barnyard @snowsbarndorset and we cannot wait to share our plans for the coming year.
From our family to you and all your loved ones, have a fabulous Christmas and may all your dreams come true.
