The Fine Cheese Co Fig Salami is especially crafted in Calabria to an exclusive recipe.

An after dinner sweet meat perfect to serve with strong black coffee. Originally a festive treat, this so popular it is now available throughout the year.

Figs are pressed together to create a ‘salami’ shape which is scented with fragrant orange peel and a generous glug of rum.

Dipped in dark chocolate (61% cocoa solids minimum) and wrapped in a traditional salami string.

Slice and serve with coffee after dinner. An ideal gift for hosts.

Did you know that the dottato variety of figs is widely grown in Calabria. It has a green skin and golden interior, also known as the kadota fig.

Fig trees do not produce visible blossoms. The fruit is a fleshy stem that surrounds the flowers that are hidden inside. This unique flower is pollinated by a very small wasp.
