More Information

A traditional copper pudding pot created by Netherton Foundry and developed in conjunction with author of ‘Pride and Puddings’, Regula Ysewijn, who visited the farmhouse during her book launch to share some of her historic recipes.

The advantage of copper pots are:

  • Copper is the most conductive metal available for engineering
  • The protective tin lining creates an excellent non-stick surface which is easy to hand wash, leaving no taint and protects the copper from acidic food corrosion.
  • Copper is very intuitive to use as heat distributes evenly across the base and sides
  • No risk of chemical non-stick coatings

Care Instructions

Cleaning:

Hand wash only – not suitable for dishwashers.

Clean immediately after use with hot soapy water, rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly.

If necessary soak the pudding bowl using a mild detergent to remove stubborn stains, but do not use scourers that will remove the lining and the pot will require re-tinning.

Your copper pot is made to be cherished for generations.  To keep it looking at its best, please follow our ‘best care’ advice:

  • Do not use metal spoons or whisks in the bowl as repeated use will wear tin lining.
  • Do not leave on a hob to boil dry as the lining will melt above 230 C
  • Do not place in an oven above 180 C (not suitable for the AGA roasting oven)
  • Never drop the pudding pot into cold water
  • Always wipe your pot with a clean cloth or sponge.
  • Do not place your pot on a rough or dirty surface as this may cause scratch marks.
